Chit Chat Stitch with Scott

This is the first series of Chit Chat Stitches, and this is the first chat.

I’m chatting with my friend, Scott, who is talking with me from Dallas, Texas.

Scott talks about the blanket he is knitting and how he is learning about knitting something to size. It’s something we knitters might call gauge, but there’s no need to be overly specific.

Scott talks about a few books he has in his craft library:

Basic Knitting

Encyclopedia of Knitting

63 Easy-to-Crochet Pattern Stitches

During the chat, I am reknitting a hat using a yarn in colors that harken back to the living room of Scott’s childhood. Here is the Ravelry link to the Strange Loop Pattern I’m knitting.

For the wellness topic, Scott brought the topic of loneliness. He cited this Psychology Today article.

We move on to SNL skits that keep us laughing. There’s the one about charm bracelets. There’s the Macy's commercial. There’s the Adele Thanksgiving Miracle. And speaking of Adele, there’s the 2020 Fortune Teller that was cut from the chat, and is still so funny to me.

I hope you enjoy the chat.
