Chit Chat Stitch with Louise
Louise and I came to know each other through the knitting-podcasting world. This conversation was a treat for me. Thanks, Louise.
Some links to the knitting things:
Louise is knitting a Riddari for her husband. I continue to reknit the Strange Loop hat.

And then we talked about fair isle things!
Would you like to peruse the actual Fair Isle website?
In the photo for this post Louise is modeling the Bousta Beanie in lovely ocean tones.
She also talks about the gorgeous Saga by Wenche Roald and Ellen Silva’s Stripe Domination.
For my contribution to the fair isle topic, I have the Rowan 44 Magazine which contains the Bellini Waistcoat pattern by Sarah Hatton. Here is a link to my Bellini, with an attempt at Rowan styling. I talked about my attempt at the Marshwood by Lisa Richardson, which really is too small in the sleeves and must now be pulled out. Marshwood can be found in Rowan 64. Later I talk about the Harmony Guide to Aran and Fair Isle Stitches. Even later, but I will tuck it in here, I talk about a sweater I pulled out because of a color issue. That was Whitby, by Marie Wallin, from Rowan 45.
Louise mentions several designers. Here is her list: Ella Gordon, Alice Starmore, Jane Crowfoot, Marie Wallin, Katherine Lymer, Hilary Grant, Sarah Don, Gudrun Johnston, Janette Budge, Hazel Tindell, Elizabeth Johnston, Wilma Malcolmson, Kate Davies, Jennifer Steingass.
The books Louise mentions are:
Fair Isle Knitting Sarah Don
Knitting from the North Hilary Grant
Knitting Masterclass Juliet Bernard.
Louise mentions Iona Wool, and the website has so much to offer the knitting inclined.
I have a note about Flax by Tin Can Knits, too, and I can’t remember what the context is for this.
Would you like to listen to George Michael’s Let's Go Outside? (The video is for adults, friends.)
You can listen to Louise share her knitting and crafting and life ideas at Cathness Craft Collective.
